(Let me throw in a quickie request for tab to 'five-o' and 'heavens' by james
and nirvana's 'lounge act' to anybody who might just know a place to start....)

Hiya.  I've just heard a live nonplugged version of 'laid' (off the 'say
something' cd single) and here's my best guess....
