Tuning (this tab): Drop D [ D A D G B E ]
Difficulty: advanced
Tabbed by Baumli
Okay, this is my first tab, so it will be sketchy, but im pretty sure this is right, or
is how i play it anyway. If you have the song, listen to it on WMP and slow down the
speed so you can hear every note in the solo to decide for yourself if it's right.

\ = slide down the neck
/ = slide up the neck
h = hammer on
p = pull-off
[14h16p14](x4) = do the bracketed lick 4 times

(Drop D tuning)
(Very fast)
when playing the intro up, strum the first few notes as fast as you can
E|-------------------------------------------12----------------------------|
B|-------------------------------12----12-14-------------------------------|
G|-------------13----13-14-13-14----14-------------------------------------|
D|----16-14-16----16-------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
at the end of this first phrase, your first finger should be barring the twelvth frets
strings 1 and 2 so that you can play the next phrase easier, it also makes playing the
phrase easier...

Play this part Van-halen Style, with one hand, all hammer-ons and pull-offs at lightning
with no pick involved until the end of the phrase, you might still pick the very first
though... this is extremely fast and your 1st finger should be barring the 12th fret for
1 and 2, and Lee Gaze is known for doing this kindof of stuff often in solos

to play the 14s, hammer on with 2nd finger, and pull off, 16s with 3rd finger. It is
suggested you pick the last 4 notes in the final set...
E|-16-12-14-12------||-16-12-14-12------||-16-12-14-12-16/19--16--14--16\|

for transitional effect, fade away from the slide down at the end of phrase #2 by not
to any particular fret and letting off the string, and then sliding back up on the 3rd
from no particular fret, the whole point is to fade out and back in, not to hit a note
the end of the slide... but it is recommended that you end the slide around the 9th fret,
begin the slide up on string three in the same area.

This next part is easy, slide back up the neck and pick every note, maybe even put a
on some of them...

OK im pretty sure the everything above this comment is right, but from here on out im
sure if what im playing is right, its kindof sketchy from here on, so you might try to
it out on your own....

on set two of the phrase, hammer on and pull off as shown
the second set isnt right, but i cant figure it out, and this sounds cool
E|--------------||------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------||------------------------------------------------|

A|--------------||---------------[h16p-14](x2)--------------------|

Play this by strumming as fast as possible, yet agian, not sure if its right, try to get
4 strokes per note...
E|----------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------------------|

D|---------------------------------------------------16\----------------|
A|----12-11-9-11-14-12-11-12-16-14-12-14-16-14-12-14--------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------------------------|

im REALLY not sure about this part, im not very good with chords
E|-----------||----------------------------------------------|
B|-----------||-17--14--14--14--14\--------------------------|
G|-----------||-16--14--14--14--14\--------------------------|
D|-16--14----||-14--14--16--14--16\--------------------------|
A|--------16-||-14--14--16--14--16\--------------------------|
D|-----------||----------------------------------------------|

this next part is extremely sketchy, except for the very last note, it is hard to tab
now since my friend is borrowing my electric, and this acoustic doesnt have enough frets
me to tab the alternate way to play this... which may be easier for some of you
yet agian, lightning speed single string strumming, as fast as you can, a good speed
be 4 strokes per note... i think thats 32nd notes...
E|-12-11-9-11-14-12-11-12-[16-14-12-14](x3)-16/21!!!\----|
B|-------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------|

well its far from perfect, and im an amatuer tabber, but it should still give alot of
a good general idea of the song, wow ive spent 2.5 hours tabbing this lol. Yet agian not
on the really high freted note, if i had my strat id be able to tell you for sure its
but Eddie's nooby acoustic doesnt go that high, for stratocaster and telecaster players
the highest note you can play... i hope you enjoy it...
