Tuning: Standard

        Capo 2

There are two ways to play the Intro. The first is with standard tuning with no capo and
be played as accompaniment throughout the entirety song if you have two guitars, one
to play this Intro and another to play the chords. This is the first way to play the Intro.

Note: The notes in parentheses are ghost notes and do not have to be played. However if
look at the note, 5th fret low E String and open A string are the same note (A),the same
true for A string 5th fret and D string open (D). Think of when your tuning your guitar.
anyways these notes don't have to be hit they just add a little color to it if you
to hit them.

e|----5--5------5--5|----5—-5--0-|----5--5------5--5----------|
B|----5--5------5--5|----5--5--0-|----5--5------5--5----------|
G|----x--x------x--x|----x--x--x-|----x--x------x--x----------|
D|-----(0)----------|-----(0)-2--|-----(0)--------------------|
A|-4----5---(0)--(0)|-4----5-----|-4----5---(0)---(0)---------|
E|-----------5----5-|------------|-----------5-----5----------|
	   4x

The second way to play the intro is more conducive to one guitar play. To play the
you must capo the 2nd fret. It would be pretty hard to play the intro with no capo then put
on time to switch to the chords. Playing the intro this way is identical to the above
for the mutes and ghost notes. Its literally the same notes execept you can't hit the
notes and you hit the G string open because the key has changed with the capo. You pluck
root note of the first three chords you’re going to play in the same progression as the
are played in the verse and then just hit the bottom three strings simultaneously as
G string open, B string on 3rd fret, high E string on the 3rd fret, which
like this

Capo on 2

e|----3---3-----3---3-|--------------------|
B|----3---3-----3---3-|--------------------|
G|----0---0-----0---0-|--------------------|
D|--------------------|--------------------|
A|-2----3-------------|--------------------|
E|-----------3----3---|--------------------|

B/G: x20033
C9: x32033
G: 320033
D: xx0323
Em7: x22033

The Chords for the verse are as follows B/G, C9, G and can be played with another guitar
playing the 1st Version of the intro through the entirety of the song or by itself.

A|-P-3-3-3-3-3-P-2-2-2-2-2--------|--2--2--3-3-3-3-3-|
E|-M-----------M-3-3-3-3-3--------|--------2-2-2-2-2-|

Note: if you can slap a quick palm mute (SLAP PM) before each chord, but its not
to do so, so if you can't just ignore the part.

After the first time the chorus is played the song basically just repeats but the rest
the song goes as follows in this order.

Play the verse once more

Play the Pre-chorus once more

Play through chorus TWICE back to back

Then after this the only change occurs which is the bridge which is played after the
is played through twice.
The bridge strum pattern is exactly the same as the pre chorus, the only change is in
chord progression, instead of playing
C9, G, E7, D you play C9, E7, G, D the middle two chords swicth order.

This looks like:

   D D U D U D U D U D D U D U D U D U D D U D U D U D U D D U D U D U D U
e|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|---------------------|
B|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|---------------------|
D|-2--2-2-2-2-2-2-2--2-|-2--2-2-2-2-2-2-2--2-|-0--0-0-0-0-0-0-0--0-|-2--2-2-2-2-2-2-2--2-|
A|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|-2--2-2-2-2-2-2-2--2-|-2--2-2-2-2-2-2-2--2-|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|
E|---------------------|---------------------|-3--3-3-3-3-3-3-3--3-|-2--2-2-2-2-2-2-2--2-|
          C9 E7 G D
Play 1X

After the bridge play the chords

C9
Em7
G
D

Once Each, this is the part where he sings, Hold on, Hold on, Hold on

Then play the Intro for single guitar 2X

Then Finally Play the Chorus 4X

Here it is with the first part of the lyrics for your timing

Verse:
B/G C9 G
I miss the sound of your voice
B/G C9 G
I miss the rush of your skin
B/G C9 G
I miss the still of the silence
B/G C9 D
as you breathe out and I breathe in

Pre-Chorus:
C9
if I could walk on water
G
if i could tell you what’s next
Em7
make you believe
D
make you forget

Chorus:

C9
come on get higher
G
loosen my lips
C9
faith and desire
G
and the swing of your hips
C9 G
just pull me down hard
Em7 D
and drown me in love

This is pretty much the entire song its pretty easy once you get the strum pattern and
signature down. Hope this has been helpful and hope you have fun playing it.
