Standard Tuning
Tabbed By Colin Paloma

Chords Used :
B5 x244xx
Ab5 466xxx
A5 577xxx
E5 x799xx
Em x22xxx
F#5 244xxx

If you haven't noticed, all the chords used in this song are
just power chords, so that makes it nice and easy to play!
The hardest part to the song is just getting the rhythm down.
Other than that, once you've got it, it's cake.

There's really only two progressions to learn, and they're
just repeated through out the song. Just listen to the song
to hear where they are. It's really not hard to tell where
they belong. But I will provide lyrics with the progressions.

The first progression is the intro/verse which is played with
various mutes in between. It's easiest just to kind of learn
the rhythm, and while you're playing, let off pressure of your
fret fingers just a bit to mute the strings:

B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5

The second progression is played over the parts that I would
suppose you call the prechorus, as well as in a couple parts
of the break. For this particular progression, you stay on the
F# for a couple beats, then hit the Em and B5's just once
before either moving on, or repeating the progression. :

F#5 - Em - B5

Now for the lyrics :

** B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5 progression ***
Drifting all alone on an empty sea
On a makeshift raft like a refugee
The message in her bottle said "rescue me" (whoa)

** B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5 progression ***
She's a girl gone wild on DVD
Leaving nothing up to mystery
A beautiful wet catastrophe
And she said,

*** F#5 - Em - B5 Progression***
"The night is bleeding stars to guide you,
Cause I'm a stormy ride"
And I said,

** B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5 progression ***
I'm your anchor man,
Hold you steady in the ocean
I'm keeping you free from the undertow
If you believe in love,
Raise your sails and get in motion
Till I drop down you'll never, never know

** B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5 progression ***
She's a little bird of paradise
Sexy little eyes that tantalize
A syren on the rocks that mesmyrize (oh no)

** B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5 progression ***
She's not afraid to dance in the pouring rain,
Spinning round and round like a weather vain
Up the mississippi pimpin like Mark Twain
And she said,

*** F#5 - Em - B5 Progression***
"The moon is folding into dark clouds,
But I'm a stormy ride."
And I said,

** B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5 progression ***
I'm your anchor man, hold you steady in the ocean
I'm keeping you free from the undertow
If you believe in love, raise your sails and get in motion
Till I drop down you'll never, never know
You'll never, never know

*** F#5 - Em - B5 Progression***
I've seen a lot of vessels sinking
you're no mystery to me
I think you're doing to much thinking
If you think you're going down, grab ahold of me

** B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5 progression is played thru the break ***

And she said,

*** F#5 - Em - B5 Progression***
"The night is bleeding stars to guide you,
Cause I'm a stormy ride"
And I said,

** B5 - Ab5 - A5 - E5 progression ***
I'm your anchor man,
Hold you steady in the ocean
I'm keeping you free from the undertow
If you believe in love,
Raise your sails and get in motion
Till I drop down you'll never, never know
You'll never never know...
