                  THE KKK TOOK MY BABY AWAY by Ramones
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Gabriele "Stamp!" Stampini, HardCorn.

NOTE: i took this tab by the live version from "Loco Live" CD 'cause i
think that's the best version of the song.....

> means strum the note following the rithm.

INTRO (x4).
G------
B------
D------
E-4444-

VERSE 1 (x2).
She walks away for the holiday....
G-------------------------------------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------------------------------------
D----------------------------------------------------6--66--66-6-66-
E-4--44--44--4-44--1--11--11--1-11--6--66--66--6-66-----------------
CHORUS (X2).
The KKK took my baby away....
G----------
B----------
D----4>-6>-
E-4>-------

POST CHORUS(x4) (Same as intro).
Oh! Oh!
G------
B------
D------
E-4444-

VERSE 2 (same as chorus) (X2).
I don't know where my baby can be....
G----------
B----------
D----4>-6>-
E-4>-------

BRIDGE.
Ring-me Ring-me Ring-me....
G-------------------------
B-------------------------
D-4>-6>-4>-6>-4>-6>----4>-
E-------------------6>----

...but when I play this song with my band I play this part kinda like this:

G----------------------------------
B-3-4-------3-4-------3-4----------
D-----4>-6>-----4>-6>-----4>-6>----
E-------------------------------6>-
In my opinion sound pretty good!

Than play the CHORUS while the "vocalist" sings "Uohooo-oohoo-ohyea!";
play the POST CHORUS/INTRO whith the terrible "oh!" screams and the VERSE (X2)
(I believe here the verse is strummed, and the guitar play the chords "free",
without stopping) and the CHORUS (X3). Then, after the last time you play the
chorus, terminate whit a singol prolungated G# (4 string/4 fret) (They took my
baby awayyy).

**To resume, the SONG SUCCESSION is:**
INTRO (x4);
VERSE 1 (x2);
CHORUS (X2);
POST CHORUS(x4) (Same as intro);
VERSE 2 (same as chorus) (X2);
BRIDGE;
CHORUS ("Uohooo-oohoo-ohyea!");
POST CHORUS/INTRO;
VERSE (X2);
CHORUS (X3)+TERMINATION IN G#;

Enjoy it!
