"Everything You Know Is Wrong" by Al Yankovic

Intro:
D C G/B A A7 (hold, then two strummed A7s and straight to verse)

Verse (all verses are the same):

D G A D
I was driving on the freeway in the fast lane with a

      G A A#dim Bm Bm/A E/G# E
rabid wolverine in my underwear when suddenly a guy

  A G
behind me in the backseat popped right up and cupped

                    D/F# D G
his hands across my eyes. I guessed, "Is it Uncle

A D G A
Frank or cousin Louie, is it Bob or Joe or Walter,

A#dim Bm Bm/A E/G# E
could it be Bill or Jim or Ed or Bernie or Steve,

           A A7
I probably would have kept on guessing but about

                              Bm
that time we crashed into the truck, and as I'm

       E7 A D/F#
laying bleeding there on the asphalt finally I

G D Em G
recognize the face of my hibachi dealer, who

A A7/G A/F# A/E
takes off his prosthetic lips, and tells me:

Chorus:

D G A D
Everything you know is wrong, black is white,

       G A A#dim Bm Bm/A E/G#
up is down and short is long, and everything

     E A A7/G A/F# A/E
you thought was just so important doesn't matter,

D G A D
Everything you know is wrong, just forget the

C#sus4 F#m Bm Bm/A E/G# E
words and sing along, all you need to understand is

G A *
everything you know is wrong.

*- First time : F G
   Second time: D
   Third time:

G A Bm C#m
Everything you know is (everything you know is)

Everything you know is wrong! (end)
