I'm not really sure what to say, but here are a few more odd, interesting and just plain surprising cover songs that I decided to share with everyone!

Number 1: Coheed And Cambria - "Purple Haze"

The well-known Progressive Metal band did a pretty darn cool live acoustic version of what is definitely Hendrix's signature song.

Number 2: Blondie - "Rock On"

This 2012 single is a cover of David Essex's only big hit and though I don't personally like it that much, I figured it needed to be on this list.

Number 3: Pantera - "Hole In The Sky"

A hard-to-find track, released on a single, but not on many Pantera compilation albums.

Number 5: Europe - theme from "2001: A Space Odyssey"

The keyboard player and drummer of the band Europe gave this interesting duo performance of one of the coolest movie themes, during a 1987 concert in the bands' home country of Sweden.

Number 6: Pearl Jam - "Rockin' In The Free World"

A live performance from the mid-1990s.

Number 7: Tears For Fears - "Ready To Go"

The New Wave hitmakers recorded this cover of the Arcade Fire song as a way of saying thank you to all the artists who have sampled their songs over the years.

I already knew the Rockin in the free world and hole in the sky one but good article though.
Nice! By as far as I know "Purple Haze" isn't performed by Coheed and Cambria - it was played by Claudio Sanchez during his solo performance.
