Wednesday Question: Coolest Album Title Ever

Which record has the best name ever?

Ultimate Guitar

For this week's traditional Wednesday Question, we'd like to kindly ask you folks to think about the best album titles of all time and answer this:

What's the coolest album title ever?

THE RULES - post only one suggestion per comment after checking that your favorite wasn't already nominated (Ctrl+F and all).Multiple nominations of one album create heavy confusion, since on one hand it's unfair to the given effort to take into consideration only the most upvoted nomination, but seeing that multiple nominations allow one user to give two or more votes to the same record, it's also unfair to other nominees not to discard it.

Finally, vote up the ideas you support and vote down the ones you dislike. We'll sum up your votes by Friday and bring you another UG top list. Show us what you got now!

    Songs for the Deaf?
    Jazz from Hell
Yes, Frank Zappa's album titles are cool! Also, my nomination is from other band - but I think it's really one of the coolest album titles ever: Shining - "Blackjazz"
Dead Kennedys - "In God We Trust, Inc." Especially in combination with the artwork of the cover
    Ride The Lightning
I agree to this..but at the same time, now that I think about it, Megadeth have some of the most badass album names: Countdown to Extinction, Youthanasia, Rust in Peace. I love albums or songs that have a play on words.
"Killing is my business...and business is good" is my personal fave, or "So far so go, so what"
Hell, even the name Megadeth is badass. It's a pun on the megadeath, a unit used to represent one million deaths in a nuclear event. Personally Youthanasia is my favourite title.
One of my favourite play on words album title is "A Crow Left Of The Murder" Also, one of my favourite Incubus albums.
I always think that this title (as well as an album cover) is so cool: Today is the Day - "Temple of the Morning Star"
Massive Attack - "Mezzanine" The title has its own mood.
    'Crack the Skye'
This. Takes another flavour when you know about what it is.
What is it? I haven't listened to much Mastodon (will fix) and I'm finding conflicting answers on Google. Is it the Rasputin and the souls coming through the crack in the sky thing?
yes. "Skye" also refers to the drummer's deceased sister who was called Skye.
Awesome, thanks! That's some deep shit. I like it.
Brann (the drummer's) sister Skye committed suicide when he was a teenager. I know the album is a concept record but the song (and the album to a certain extent) are a tribute to her.
This deserves to win, not only because it sounds really awesome out of context, but when you place it in context, it becomes heartfelt and really powerful. Not to mention it's a name nobody forgets.
You can say what you want, but if we're talking about the coolest album title I think it fits: Linkin Park - "Meteora"
The least we can do is wave to each other - Van der graaf generator It's not their greatest album, but dang, does the title have a good ting to it!
    Ole' Nessie
    Vulgar display of power
Definitely what I came here to say, encompasses everything Pantera's attitude was, what metal should be, and it's a quote from the exorcist. Badass album name.
Surprised it has that few votes, but then again many people will say fuck Pantera because Phil is a racist
Safe to say Hardwired To Self Destruct won't make the list!
You've got +37 likes just now in a post where you mentioned the album name. Doesn't that count towards the vote? By mentioning it and getting upvotes, you might have just gotten it added to the list!
I don't get it, I had like -10 votes now I'm up to almost 40 lol. To be honest it's a joke. Everyone seems to hate the album title. I think the artwork is pretty dumb but idk... I think Hardwired... To Self Destruct is kind of a cool name! Especially considering the USA is pretty close to falling apart from the inside!
Appetite for destruction is a cool name too
"When the Kite String Pops" by Acid Bath I always thought there was something so creepy and haunting about that title. Goes perfect with that band.
This is a fantastic album title!
Yeah I always really liked it. It goes really well with the album art(John Wayne Gacy/Pogo painting). I always thought it sounded kind of symbolic of someone losing their sanity and for it to never return to them. I don't know though... I've been downvoted up to this point.
Pssh don't matter what UG thinks, you just reminded me of Acid Bath! Thank you
Blood Mountain- Mastodon Honestly, for me, it's a tie between Blood Mountain, Leviathan and Crack the Skye. But Blood Mountain incites such an immediate visceral reaction with most people, especially coupled with the band name "Mastodon." Too cool.
