Dubstep technique?
Would it be possible to recreate a Dubstep-esque bassline using an envelope filter, a Wah, or an Auto-Filter/wah?

Your best option would be to just not play dubstep anything.

I just think bass effects are underused, I like the wah(I think its a wah at least) on Sir Psycho Sexy

There is technique in Dubstep? Oh, right. You have to turn knobs when you play live.

There's a device called "Hothand" that does exactly this, unsure to how much it costs, though.

its production effects, osciallater filters, distorted bass, some wah, tremelo, but its mostly done in the studio with keyboards and lots of pre amps and filters only way to get that effect
