Hey guys, brand new to the forums and I am digging everything I see with the different discussions and information provided on this site! I have been playing guitar for three years now and would like any critiques or information that would help me take my guitar playing to a new level. I have never taken a lesson or learned any theory just messed around with different chords and guitar tabs. I am not sure how to embed stuff so I am just gonna throw the link in.

Well start learning theory then! It can be tedious, but it's very rewarding in the end and helps you understand why certian things work or don't work in music. You seem to be stuck in that one pentatonic shape.

Hey guys! Just started writing this piece the other day and wanted some feedback/constructive criticism. This is just a midi demo because a couple parts are tricky for me at the moment but planning to record a final version once I have everything down tight. It's a instrumental/acoustic type piece.

If at first you don't succeed, play bass.

Hi I'm Ronald Poe and I currently write electronic music and play guitar/bass. Anyway I was curious if anyone would critique my song, "Enraged Legend". I've been told it's one of my best and actually pretty good. It's a tribute to Broly (DBZ) but I wrote it myself (only incorporated a little bit of his themes on occasion and got them wrong).

Song can be found here

Please give me your opinions on it. Just be polite but honest (if you find problems, tell me nicely and I will listen). Have a nice day people.
"I don't know what you're trying to suggest. There's no shame in taking what you need to hold your position!"

Super Buu (DBZ) on assimilation (it could also apply to blues guitar and guitar soloing in general).

Can someone help me out?

Ive been writing an instrumental song its going to be indie/alternative but with a rocker/greaser chord progression, what i need help with is the chords.

The progression is I-III-V-VI and its key it G so the chords are G-Bm-D-Em which is fine and sounds good

I just want to spice it up be adding new chord variations i dont know, the chords i know are the basics, the barre chords, the 7th chords

Can anyone help with chord suggestions?
You hit 'em and they get back up
I hit 'em and they stay down

G-Bm-D7(#9) - D7(b)-Em

(if it sounds like Pink Floyd, it's because it's from them )

It's cool mate, for me it sounds more progrie than metal, something like Tool for example. Nice job.

So here's my first composition. It's just the lead guitar part, I also wrote a bass and rhythm guitar part and if you find it okay I'll play it with my band. The audio is out of sync with the video due to movie maker being unintuitive/me being terrible at editing, so don't pay too much attention to the video - just listen and tell me how I could improve. Is it too repetitive? Is it boring? Is it too simple? Critique welcome.

Here's a link to my noteflight, I have 4 not quite complete compositions on there, if anyone's interested.

One's a ballad, one's a jazzy piece, one's a classical style piano piece and the last one's a piano duet.

Please try to ignore the awful tone of some of the instruments. Any comments or critiques would be appreciated.

http:// If you find that you're allergic to certain skin care ingredients, know that this may not have always been the case and it may not always stay this way. If you have had a sensitivity to a product in the past, you can try it again by doing a small patch test in an inconspicuous area to see if you are still sensitive.Wear sunscreen that has SPF in it. It gives your skin much-needed protection from the sun. It has recently been found that sunscreen can be added to clothing by using products such as Sunguard Laundry Aid. This product will increase a shirt's UPF rating from 5 to 30.

Didn't understand a word but a very solid rock song. Liked the vocals and guitar solos especially.

Here is my first published song from upcoming EP, melodic, slow rock if someone's interested
