Ah, fair enough. Just thought this was probably the best place to mention it, haven't seen a thread or sub-forum dedicated to solos and scales.

Well, this forum kinda covers the *physical* parts of playing guitar well, and the Musician Talk forum covers the *mental* parts - theory, listening and fretboard knowledge.

I actually got into daily guitar practice because of Donato Begotti's method called ditones. Basically you play all the 2, 3, 4 fingers combinations focusing on different patterns and technique aspects. There's few musicality involved but nice grooves to play along.

This is a guitar technique I've been developing! I call the it the percussive sweep! Im interested to hear what everyone thinks of it! I havent personally seen it done but that doesnt mean it hasnt been, so I just decided to give it a name so Id have something to call it. Let me know your opinions or if you want to know more! Also, check out my band Maelion if you wanna hear more of my guitar playing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-XMyVwEH5s

Really excited to join up here. Been grabbing tab on and off here for quite a few years....thought a few nights ago...I wonder if there's a forum and boom...started reading some posts saw this thread and thought. Ok time to join up. I've been playing on and off for years and always I mean ALWAYS dreamed of being able to really light up the fretboard...but speed (at least insane speed) has always eluded me. But I am not a quitter...so I am going to give this a go. Thanks for posting this...and nice to meet you all. Going to grab that first zip now/
