The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

^ I almost put that album up there, but then I remembered they're considered "powerviolence".

Then I remembered, who the fuck cares?

Phenomenal album, there.

The band with a billion releases. Never got into them though, because I don't feel like wading through a billion releases.

This track is so mind numbingly heavy:

This ****ing album has been on constant repeat for the past few days. Let's get some more heavy in on this:

Nothing satisfies the urge more than Dragged into Sunlight.

*Blood - Impulse to Destroy*

This band kind of rules. I'm more partial to O Agios Pethane with its punchy riffs, but I certainly understand the appeal of this more psychotic album. Their work has a certain absurdism to it, like many great grind acts.

Another great band is Pathologist. Their album Grinding Opus of Forensic Medical Problems mixes Carcass worship with a thrashy approach to riffs, along with some interesting underlying warped melodies.

Should be, I hear lots of good things about their live shows.

Love Nuclear Death, Lori is a beastly woman with more mean than most men.

Never really got into Wormrot, but they're good for the listen every now and then.

Indeed. If Impulse to Destroy had slightly better production behind the riffs, it would easily be at the top of my list for grind albums. It's number two though.

More grind:

I'm not particularly well versed in Grindcore but I'm loving that Extreme Noise Terror album. It feels like an insanely violent version of Discharge, Minor Threat, Doom etc.

I think we've listed a good number of bands to get you into grindcore, take a chance, make a change. You'll love it

Punkforlife linked this in this thread, but really, before this page is just nonsense. Stupid ramblings and arguing.

EDIT: Sorry, I should say that Orchid aren't inherently grind, but great band regardless.

Can't beat a good bit of screamo, such an underappreciated genre within the metal community.

Hoodoo Man, this'll be right up your street:

I'll get on it. I broke out the old Scum cd last night for the first time in ages, which helped get me in the mood.

Well Fukpig don't sound anything like I expected. I like the D-beat stuff but I think, fun though it is, the Black Metal stuff is a bit too haunted house ride. It kind of works but I'd prefer them as a straight up D-beat band if I'm honest.

Just caught Magrudergrind in Atlanta. Intense. Very humble, down to earth guys as well. Picked up the self-titled on wax.
