First time posting in what seems like months.

I'm loving Disclosure, I've waited a long time for this record.

The bullshit between Misha and Al is awful, too..

What bullshit, the stuff that went on in the SS.org thread? Misha was being a dick, Nolly was being Nolly, Al was posting a whole buncha nothin', and the rest acted like the 13 year olds they are.

Loving the album too, the only "gripe" being the length. want moar kthx.

Misha is just butthurt 'cause The HAARP Machine are better than Periphery. He's trying to belittle them to boost his own ego.

Seriously though, Disclosure is ridiculously good imo.

Also, on the topic of people accusing Al Mu'min of not being able to play... Why on Earth would Tosin Abasi introduce him to Ola Strangberg and why would Ola Strandberg endorse a guitarist that can't even play?

Groove Shark has the whole album.
JAKEDIT: I take that back. they have most of the songs except one and Pleiadian Keys is a pre production mix according to the playlist on Grooveshark.

I like it so far but it reminds me too much of other bands. I'm getting a strong Faceless and Human Abstract vibe from it.

Honestly, I'm not that surprised. I saw them live and they just didn't seem to get into the music and just looked really awkward on stage.

Huh. I'm bummed. Disclosure was one of my surprise hits last year. I enjoyed them live and Semesky and Al seemed like cool guys. Oh well.

Fuck this band. All the hype and build-up for an incredibly mediocre album, and then they break up after finally releasing it? Already forgot about them.

I didn't forget about them, I just never attached any significance to them in the first place. Never saw them live, never cared enough to.

I did when I saw The Faceless and Revocation. I had seen a video before and figured it was an off night, but it's every night. They either have some "sound guy" issue or they just don't look like they're enjoying themselves.

Yeah, I really don't care about this. The little bit I've listened to them reminds me of a less interesting version of The Safety Fire. And Al seems like a total asshole, plus, from the one live vid I've seen, he's sloppy as hell.

I hate how they exploit that whole Middle Eastern sound.

Most of the time I thought the middle eastern sound effects just sounded like a cheesy background sample that had no reason for being there, I also kinda doubt that Al actually plays the koto and sitar. I think they could have done some cool things with the middle eastern instrumentation but instead just threw them in for pointless background ambience that makes the mix feel denser

Their sound oozes with that "middle eastern desert" sound. I understand Al is muslim but he's the only member in the band that is. It just sounds sorta dumb.

Middle Eastern desert sound, also known as "anything vaguely harmonic minor based". I'm a fan, and even I think it's a waste of a gimmick. Not surprised at the dudes bailing, Al's a lunatic, and the drummer has been filling in for The Faceless now that Lyle quit THAT asylum.

It's not just harmonic minor based. There's a specific progression to it.

I'd heard he was a control freak, but I saw a reference to setting lawns on fire or something. Take that with a grain of salt, though.

It was setting a house on fire, which is allegedly a threat Al made to... somebody. Rumors.

Does anyone else think it's hilarious that he threatened to burn someone's house down? Like, that's not only the weirdest threat, but it's also coming from a muslim.
