Well I guess everybody's got their own tastes and its all subjective

The albums I think are perfect are
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Iron Maiden - A Matter of Life and Death (call it blasphemy, but its my fav maiden album)

Hardly blasphemy, it's one of their best.

As far as the topic is concerned...

There are a lot of albums out there that I love but only one that I would not tweak given the chance. True perfection in my eyes. That album is Quadrophenia by the Who.

Dookie. As far as the whole pop-punk thing goes, Dookie is stacked and that album couldn't have been better.
#325

some of them are close to perfection (to me) so I included them in my list.
#326
There are a few, at least IMO.

Blink 182 - Dude Ranch is the perfect pop-punk record. Every song is the best song.
La Dispute - Somewhere at the Bottom. Simply beautiful. No filler. The only way to listen to it is all the way through.
TFOT - Self Titled. Simply put, a perfect post-hardcore/screamo record. If this band could have kept it up and put out 2 or 3 more records that were even close to the self titled, they would still be together and wouldn't be hated by everybody like they were right before they broke up.

His first album probably has a few of his more popular songs, but it completely loses it's shit at points, I absolutely can not listen to it all the way through... This one however, I am absolutely in love with right now.

it was only two years ago. you should only be ashamed of two years ago if you have been into music for 4 years or less.

yeah i was like huh

like there's no ideal perfect album of course because we live in a dirty corporeal world. but like the velvet underground & nico is pretty unassailable.

Astral Weeks is the only perfect album

Lol, I love Kanye and all, but 808's doesn't come close to the scale and focus achieved by Cudi. I mean, it's his The Wall.

This is a good question. I think if you asked the artist and fans about a certain album you would get two different answers.

I think an album can be perfect. If the artist gave it their all and saw their vision through to the end then its perfect.

We've all heard horror stories about the making of albums, so I'm sure lots of artists may not get a chance to do everything they wanted, or they ran out of money, producer wants a more commercially successful sound etc.

All those things can hinder an albums pursuit of perfection.

I never heard a bad album from SRV tho. The Massacre by 50 Cent, I don't know about perfect, but I enjoyed the shit outta that record in high school.

Yea

I mean, they're really close, but I like Arular more.

Most likely just because I listened to it first for a bit before Kala

I gotcha. I don't really like the last half of Arular but the first half is the bomb.
