Fact: there are at least 1459 covers of that song that are better than the original.

Now it's at least 1460 with my cover. All still better than Leonard Cohen.

I thought Weezer's version of Paranoid Android wasn't bad

Damn you're right, i totally forgot weezer's cover, which is cool.

I´ll probably swap it for creep maybe?, because it is over-cover'd: Korn, prince @ coachella, etc. and i can't really remember a good cover of it.

Does this fit into the first category or the second?

I have no idea if that's serious or not. Even if not serious it doesn't fit into any, it's a travesty.

Don't do that to my ears again. Thanks.

You know how people used to pull out their lighters during power ballads? Now they just use their cellphones instead.

Imo Any Alice In Chains song...but that is more due to Layne's voice sounding like a chainsaw..and if you tried youd prolly blow your voice.

But Stairway is soo overdone..as well as Sweet Child O Mine. Alot of ppl try to sound EXACTLY LIKE axel...

You shouldn't cover anything unless you're changing the genre.
Check out my band Disturbed

Nobody needs any more reason to cover any song than simply wanting to. Regardless of the song or artist. That isn't to say that they won't suck absolute balls, or comes across as totally contrived, but nothing and nobody is "off limits."

That is all.

Obviously you got this.

Really, no song should be covered unless the lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass and percussion are played 100% accurately note-for-note.

But then that makes me a total hypocrite.
