Yeah, they were first reborn under the Stiff Amplification name, well the Krank Jr series at least.

So the tradition of silly names continues.

It seems like the Revolution is the only real carry over amp though. I'm wondering if the HR marshall amp is going to be more like a Jose modded Plexi or along the same lines as the 1980/Chadwick

How many bigger name guitarists still actively use Krank? I remember them being really popular for awhile around 2006-2007, but haven't heard much in awhile. Brendon Small for Dethklok/Metalacolypse was an active supporter, one of the members from Shadows Fall was a supporter, the front man for Behemoth as well.

Probably not many since they no longer are a company, but I'm sure there are a few.

Several bands I listen to were endorsed by Krank, I even knew a band that was sponsored by them in NC called The Hottness

Krank had a lot of endorsements, just goes to show how poorly managed it must have been to lose all that money.

Good to see something from Revolution finally. Interested to see what the Bully will sound like.

Haven't Revolution just released the Rev 1 again? Or am I wrong?

Maybe, but good chance it has a few tweaks to the circuit

I find that any discrepancy between body woods can be EQd out for the most part.

It looks to me Revolution has 3 different amps, one of which is the Rev.

Not bad, especially at low volumes, a little bit more sizzle than I like, but a lot of that can be toned down with the JJs. I'm listening on my phone so I won't guess on the impulse/57

Sorry for the double posting here, but this Rev 1 is sounding so awesome in a mix (Work in progress, I know it's not there yet)

But that was all from the line in. Safe to say I'm really, really impressed and I'm gonna be keeping it around!

Just tried to record with my revolution one, it's really late and people are asleep so I can't turn it up...What do people think of the tone? AND can anyone guess which side is the impulse and which one is a 57 on it? (Just doing this out of curiosity)

Want to say the right side is the 57.

I saw in a couple of pictures that on Bucketheads Les Paul (only some pictures) that his neck pickup is painted in white. Can anyone explain to me why he would do this, and if there are any pros and cons.

The guy wears a KFC Bucket and a white mask during performances, and you're interested in the color of his pickup covers?

Hey guys, does anybody know where I can get a compatible foot switch for my chadwick? The krank website has 100w switches, but I doubt it would be compatible with mine (50w). I called and asked to make sure, and am waiting for a call back. I know off brand foot switches are often a no go, but maybe not in this case?
#423
It's quite possible the 100 watt would be fine. There switches aren't too complicated. I wouldn't see why not, there are only so many types of footswitches in the world and I wouldn't see a point for them to change between wattages.

It is a 1 button switch. I could have saved five and twenty through your link, but seeing the owner (Mr. Krank) so quickly returned my message and even offered to make one for me, I thought I'd support his business. I bought the two button, but only one button will actually do anything. PLus I can use it on a compatible head in the future.

Thanks for the help guys.

One of the buttons is channel switching, and the other is master volume(which the chadwick doesn't have).
