45 seconds of my playing. I am not posting here because I need help, not exactly. I am posting here because I'm curious of what other guitarplayers hear in my playing. I feel fairly content with what I can do, and I feel like I'm still getting better every day, so it's not because I'm stuck.

So... What do you hear? Thanks in advance.

How you know you have too many guitars...

Personally, I hear a lot of flash, but would like more substance. You do a lot of fast playing. It's not how many notes you can play in 45 seconds that impresses us, it's the number of notes you don't play. Remember, it takes more skill to slow down and play something meaningful, than it does to blaze through a thousand notes.

I hear someone who is playing more than they are thinking or listening. It sounds to me like you're just running through licks you know rather than thinking about what you're doing. You need to slow down and think about the sound you want to make rather than just playing.

That doesn't mean you have to play slowly, it just means that when you play quickly it will be because you want to rather than because you know a fast lick.
