Not the mono part that then bounces left and right, the part right after that drops back into the song..

Also, how would you accomplish any part of this with samples? Looking for a little more insight if possible.. Thanks for the quick response tho!

That just sounds like them playing a chord higher up then then playing the open version...

Its like 'The Metal' by Tenacious D, or 'Your Treachery Will Die With You' by Dying Fetus: they probably just played the riff higher up the fretboard then saved the 'drop' thing for the open strings.

-.- They're just playing open notes on the 5 and 6 string, the notes before the breakdown are played a semitone higher. The song is pretty crappy anyways though.
