Great recording, you defnitally have your sound set in stone. Im not fond of the chorus though im not sure, I think the cornyness of "sex drugs rock n roll"takes away from the solidness. The lead is sick especially the intro. Vocals are great too.

I think you have a very good song here. The guitar work was incredible throughout, although I think you could rework the intro to the second solo and try to make it a smidge more melodic; the idea was fantastic, just didn't quite hit the right notes. I respectfully disagree with the above commentor, as I found the chorus to perfectly fine, and the first half of it was downright catchy. Bridge came in at just the right time, and I'm very jealous of the sound quality you were able to obtain!

All in all, I'd say you have something you can be very happy with here!

Very sick metal song you got going on here, I like how it's guitar oriented. Wasn't expecting those vocals but I think it goes pretty well actually. It actually reminds me of crossover punk/thrash! Some of the lyrics we're a tad cheesy for my taste and sometimes the vocalist is a bit off-time, nothing that can't be improved. Overall, cool song!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I wasn't sure how people would react to the vocals, they're probably more suited to a pop sort of song. And yeah some of the lyrics make me cringe a bit too

I kinda agree with the first poster about the vocals......I can almost imagine an epic Bruce Dickinson or Bob Stu style operatic delivery on this......
As for the instrumental section, it's impeccable. Some really tight playing. If anything stuck out, it's that the leads don't really sear, and sound kind of muffled......more highs? And the brass section on the drums sound a little laid back as well. Rhythm tones are great, works very well with the song.

Were the drums programmed? If so, you might need to work on your velocities and timing- the fast double bass bit at 2:47 had that "machine gun" feel.......if they weren't programmed, then I can't for the life of me figure out how he got his velocities that accurate

Yeah the drums were programmed, thanks for the tip though, I guess changing the velocities a bit would make it sound more "human".

^Open up your midi editor, and do this- make every even beat slightly harder than every odd beat. Then select the entire track, go to "edit" and select the humanize option. Fiddle with different settings and see what works for you....it won't ever sound like a real drummer, but it can be taken to the point where you don't notice it unless you're trying to notice it.
