My band are currently playing venues such as pubs and small clubs and we want to have our logo printed on something onstage so people know who we are.

What would be the best thing at this stage? We'd need something we can put up and take down easily at small venues and with clear printing. Also where could we buy it?

Cheers

PVC pipe to make a frame, and then have a banner with your logo or name or whatever printed at just about any printing shop. There are guides online if you google it.

We got ours done on a big vinyl sheet done by a professional sign company. It was (it's not here so I have to go by memory) about 10ft by 3ft or something, and was surprisingly affordable. It had grommets along the top so we could use cable ties to affix it to whatever we could find, or hang it with twine or whatever. (this was about 6-7 years ago we got it made, but I think it was only about $80 or so)

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com

Is the bass drum not an option?

I'd imagine at pubs they wouldn't be bringing their own kit, as they won't be the only act. I may be mistaken though, and if they do bring their own kit it could be worth it.

A band we played with recently had a really clever solution. They had 2 projector screens with them, the kind that is already on a stand, and then you hook the screen on top of the stand. Then they printed the logo and graphics on the screens and set them on each side of the stage. It looked great. They set them in front of their amps, since they were miced anyway.

It was something like this, but be carefull that its not to big:

That's quite a cool idea!

Round here there's a company called 'Bannerman' who does vinyl banner printing very cheap (about £25 for 6ft x 4ft.

Before you do anything, make sure your artwork is up to scratch.

If needs be, you can always find a graphic design student to do design work cheap (or free for their portfolio), or maybe a reasonably priced design company (I used to run a business doing quality band logos for £15, and there are plenty out there like me!).
