ust thought it would be fun to see what u guys think...

budget: 500 bucks. for sake of frivolity ill go 1000 if u persuade me....
i mainly use ableton to record..... i do instrument-related music, AND electronic music..

heres what i have:

multiple computers/processors so no worries there... quad core... lots of ram

racks/external stuff:

presonus firepod
alesis io26
zoom 9010 sound processor
boss br-600

other:
boss me-50 guitar effects floorboard
behringer fcb1010 midi footcontroller
50w marshall artist 3203
yamaha midi keyboard
roland electronic midi drums

mics:
sure sm57
sure sm58c beta
behringer c-2

1st gen ipad, and samsung galaxy nexus with all sorts of apps that control ableton and my recording software.

dual-screen setup

im kinda looking for something 'hands on' for my electronic music. maybe cddj or some kind of mpc or crazy new unit of some type.... i also know i need some new decent monitors, power conditioners, and patchbays , but cant make up my mind so thought i would leave it in the hands of fate/you guys!

thanks for any info!

Pure amazingness. Fun to muck around with the voice stuff. Soooo much packed in there. Way more fun than any VST I've used.

A good vocal mic, for sure. Maybe an SE 2200a.

You definitely need decent monitors above all else. Grab a set of Equator D5s for $300, and you'll be very happy indeed.

Dildos.

Seriously though : Focusrite Saffire 6... Your recording studio seems like an amateur one and they're pretty good for your range...

Akai MPK. It'll get you hands-on, it will auto-map to Ableton and work flawlessly, and it will feel great.

A microkorg offers nothing that ableton can't do in the box, it's not analog at all.

Buy the MPK and use the leftover money for monitors. Do you even have monitors? I didn't see any listed above.

Nothing worth the money. It's just the UG parrot suggestion of the month around the recording forums. It's a great bang-for-the-buck interface, but you already have a pile of interfaces and no monitors. Get monitors immediately, then buy an MPK or similar controller with whatever money is left over if you can, but spend at LEAST $500 on your monitors, and do your homework first!

Ps the Klon thing above was a joke, they're not worth $400 at all but other forums rave about them constantly.

thx sid!! any particular monitors u reccomend?? heard amazing things about certain behringer truth monitors (despite their reputation) but i have heard they are relatively cheap... i dont mind spending 500 or more on monitors, my only concern is i wont notice any difference between a 200 dolar pair or a 500 dollar pair.
