Do you drop tune much? The longer scale of the Jackson and ESP would be a bit better for that.

I know I could get a better quality guitar but I love flying V's and I want one. So if you can recommend another flying V -250€ I would appreciate it, if you can't please tell which one of those would you choose. The price is almost the same, but the Dean and the Jackson are used and the ESP is new.

ESP LTD V-50 NEW, not a fan of the starter level jacksons and never been a fan of dean. Also it being new is a major plus, as you have warranty if any issues arise. The dean does have the Emgs, which i guess may be a plus for you, if you like active pickups.

I seriously doubt this. It's not easy to wire an active and passive pickup. You have to have two seperate circuits, and you'll never be able to blend them. I doubt anyone did this to a low end Dean V.

Maybe they came with HZ's, the owner installed an active in the bridge and left the HZ in but it's not hooked up.
