print blank notation? I like writing with my hands more than using a computer.

buy a manuscript book. that's what they make them for - i must have 10 books of varying thickness lying around.

if you insist on using sibelius, click on each rest individually and hit the delete key to remove it from view. to remove the bars, click on the top or bottom of a bar, and hit the delete key. it should remove all the bars.

Thanks to you both

Edit: Do i need to delete all the rests one by one? Is there a way to delete them all on the page at once?

one at a time.

why don't you just drag the bars to the ends of the lines, so that one measure occupies each line...?

Some helpful shortcuts for this kind of thing:
To do exactly what you originally asked for: ctrl+A and then ctrl+shit+h
To lock any number of measures on a line: select the measures you want and then alt+shift+m
To lock any number of measures to a page: select the measures you want and then ctrl+alt+shift+m

Also, blanksheetmusic.net or a manuscript book is probably an easier option.

Also, writing by hand, ugh...

Thanks jazz rock.
I like the notes in my hand when they come from the ether and its out of the more "acoustic" utensil that is the pencil straight onto the paper it makes the feeling better for me. Using the computer feels weird

Buy a Rastrum and rule your own staff lines. Every composer should have one, as it is the best invention ever!

I wasn't saying you shouldn't write by hand, you should do whatever works for you. I was just expressing my distaste for writing by hand

i actually much prefer writing by hand. the only time i ever have a score printed is when i require a performer other than myself.
