hi everyone first time posting so if i posted it in a wrong section show me the right one.
anyway here is my problem:
im a bassist and i even play in a band but the main problem is im lazy.
like when i could be writting songs and that stuff i go play computer games and such useless stuff i have the material and everything to record but i just dont go and do it so my collection of riffs is just laying there, i could have written tons of music but there is always something that drag me away i think its even affecting my bandwork since i produce very medicore bass lines . so how do (would) you guys "fight" this?

p.s sory for sounding like a stupid whiny b*** but im sick of it and sory for my bad english

Lazy is usually lack of motivation. You have to get reward to get motivated.

Look, at a certain point there's no trick to it. You either care enough to stop playing Halo (or whatever it is you're playing) or you don't.

One useful mental thing is to think of every moment as a chance to determine who you are. When you're deciding whether to pick up the bass or play video games, ask yourself, "Do I want to be the guy who works hard and gets good at this, or do I want to be the kind of guy who wastes lots of time online playing dumb games?"

Recognize that your choice of activity determines the answer to that question.

If you are physically tired this can be mistaken for lazyness - suggest you make sure you diet is good and get some exercise?

To expand upon this, have you gotten checked for depression? I've suffered from it off and on throughout various points in my life and when you get low enough, you stop caring about anything. Like, when I lost my job last year I basically just spent two months sitting in front of the TV.

Very good point. It runs in my family. Depression and anxiety - not laziness.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com

It's the same as all other harmony. Surround yourself with skulls and candles if it helps.
