I know I'm not breaking any new ground here, just a little piece I wrote to cope with existential dread.

You cant fly before you learn how to fall
the impact will break your back
crack masks duct taped to flak jackets
and ice packs, smacked about roughed up
battered and bruised; live hard on the edge
until jumping is your final move.

You can't grow until you're ready to die
let go of cynicisms like cancer victims
hold out for a new start, appreciate art
let go of the little things and focus on the big parts
never give up, don't change because they tell you so
but accept that theres and end and let it go.

William Faulkner once said "You cannot swim
for new horizons
until you have courage
to lose sight of the shore."
I believe we're all lost at sea
Courage is our only option.
Music is an art form that celebrates potential. So long as you're looking for it, you'll always find it.
