So I love Jacksons, but now my Jackson is dead (RIP Curry ) and I need a new one.

I don't want to spend a helluva lot (poor college kid, $350 MAX) and definitely intend on going used. (Location is Philadelphia, PA, USA. I constantly keep an eye on craigslist...)

I really wanna know the quality of the Jackson Professional line, as I don't think I've played one.

My old was a Jackson JS32R Dinky, so I'd like to upgrade.

Thanks a bunch <3

you might be able to pick up a used rr3 for that price if you keep your eyes open. Can't say i know about the professional line though but just throwing in a suggestion.

Yea, a few RR3s up on Craigslist and probably GC's used. Been thinking about that, but the shape might bother me. Might.

Jackson professionals are top of the range and highly sought after.
Some say they are as good if not better than American Jackson's

If you find one, go for it

I believe this is Japanese. You can call and ask. But it's only $300 and it has real EMGs (a ton of the used Jacksons on there have HZs)

Give one a try to see how it feels if you can get the chance. I find them really comfortable, especially when sitting because you can put the horns over your right leg.

That's Japanese alright. That's a DKMG, really solid guitars.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

One of the holes that the screws for the tremolo claw screws into is "stripped". The screw won't easily go in. (it's not the screw, I've tried several screws, none work)

I'd much rather get a new one than try fixing it :x

Sorry to double post, but what would be a better quality purchase? An RR3 or a Kelly Professional Std?

Just get regular white glue and toothpicks, then put them in the hole, wait for it to dry, and the screw should bond with the toothpicks and it should be good to go.
Sounds easy to me.

^ And try using the EDIT button.
I love the RR3 guitars. Classical position is comfortable imo.
