Im thinking about getting a Agile Septor Pro 727 EB EMG Tribal Purple what are you're opinions. I have never played a Agile before... Or should i get a Schecter or LTD? decisions.. Also what do you guys think of doing an 18Volt mod for my EMG's?. One last thing i have a peavey 6505 connected to a Marshall Jubilee cab, do you think it would do me any good to get a Maxon OD808?

Try the guitars to see what you like. I don't have experience with the 18v mods for EMG's. I would recommend a TS9 for your overdrive or something else that's just as good as the 808 and not as expensive.

Try out all the 7's you can and get the one you like best.

As for an OD, check out the Fulltone OCD, since you didn't give a budget

You lose pretty much nothing when you mod to 18V. Only one battery more and two battery clips. That's barely 10 euros here. I like my 18V modded 81/89 set more than I did with normal 9V.

Tube amps like to be overdriven, so using a tubescreamer or a clone is great for that. I use one, but for my lead/solo stuff. It's a very versatile OD pedal. I like my MXR GT-OD, so that's another option for you. There are lots of ts clones out there.

As it has been said, you should really get to try the guitar which you're going to buy. I would really never buy a 7-string blind-folded. Especially one that is not in "low-budget" range. Agiles are said to be good but I've never tried one myself. I'm more of a 6-string guy anyways.

check out the Mooer Green Mile, a much smoother tubescreamer than the 808 and cheap too! no battery capability though

Then I'd highly recommend the green mile if you can live without needing batteries, not much in terms of cash outlay to see if you like it, plus it's a really nice one if you decide to keep it

For boosting an amp for metal, the best TS pedal I've used is the MXR GT-OD. However, all tubescreamers are more or less the same, so just try a few out and go with what you like.
