Man, this album is great. Much more complex songs than the last two albums.

And that song Chiselhammer, that's just freaking great.

Only just got round to putting this on for the first time.

Aaron, holy shit. That's all I have to say so far.

EDIT: BLues To Thrash has me feeling like it's '07 again and I love it.

It's like 300 a month

Plus you can include a mediafire link on the album page in case you run out

I just wanted to stream without downloading.

Cuz I'm sure it's good and I'll enjoy it, but I don't think I'll listen more than once.

It would use the same amount of bandwidth in the end, less if you consider webpage bandwidth. But I think you both make good points and I'm working to improve the next album by getting pre master (-6db) from the artists to get it done semi-professionally, and I can also work on setting up a label on bandcamp for this purpose. As it is it would be somewhat strange given that instead of one artist or band there were more like 10 or 11 and I want to ensure that the dudes who put their work in get the credit.

IIRC, bandcamp is really great for compilation albums too, and I think setting up a ventral one for the label would be a smart move, both for general organization and for further exposure

The problem I face is that I can't call it the Ultimate Guitar Community Electronic Label in any official capacity because then I make it seem as though I'm somehow a representative of UG. With the copyrighted content that sometimes graces our albums, that would further complicate things. However, if I go with the names we bandied about and decided on and set up something external to UG it becomes advertising when I share what we (the community) have made with you (the community). So there are lots of decisions to be made for sure.

What I do know is that I would like to see this album get a review on UG, whether it's by staff or if they accept a user submission, that would be amazing!

I thought most of UG's artists were on the Aural Lotus label, plus those who aren't you could say "_______ appears on this compilation with permission from the author" or something

From a technical standpoint I could just sign (or even just "sign") them all if I wanted to. I still own it and its still incorporated but I'm thinking of dropping it because it wouldn't be profitable for anyone involved. But yeah it would work fine for bandcamp, could probably even link to artist pages as well.

but I wanted a FLAC copy

I have a FLAC copy of my song :P but it is also probably one of the least popular on the album so I guess it doesn't help any lol

The songs were submitted in .mp3 so you can't really get better than .mp3

The final copies of the .mp3s were encoded to 24bit (not sure what each individual artist rendered at originally), so you got basically the best copies of everything submitted, just a tiny bit louder.

Heads up, got a "corrupt file" message for one of the songs on Disc Two.

I'll extract them again and see if I can get which song it is.

EDIT:

"Cascades" on Disc Two is corrupt for me.

I think it's 200, I only have 60 left.
It's 10 dollars to add an additional 300.

New album got a boost because chaoticmonki (cry) used a song of mine in a video again.
