No, Liam Neeson saved that film from complete doom.

Can't wait for the new stand alones. The Yoda one should be awesome.

Other than McGregor, the rest of the cast is shameful.

I actually really liked the acting in II and III. Even the actors that were terrible in Episode I (all of them... including Liam Neeson) more than satisfied me in II and III.

If Christensen satisfied you in II, let alone III which is ludicrously hit and miss, then no-one need put any weight on anything you ever say ever again about anything ever

Jeez, you act like I said they were better than the originals or something equal heinous. The actors satisfied me. But frankly, I don't think actors in any Episode actually did a fantastic job, besides Hamill. Now there's something heinous for you. Flame shield activate.

People blame Christensen but I don't think any actor could have really saved the shitty writing for Anakin. Too boring. Too whiney. Just no good.

Saying that, I do enjoy the prequel trilogy. Even though it has a lot of bad times it has some good action scenes and a few good characters.

I like the story that they wrote for him. Just not all of the dialogue. His dialogue is questionable, but I don't see what's wrong with his acting.

I hope they dont use those shitty books, but come up with a new story and better characters. Darth traya was the best character in the entire star wars universe in my opinion.

There were some cool storylines. The academy and Luke, Han and Leia's Kids.

It's just there's lot of shit stories to the few good ones.

The kids thingie would just impose too much fake grasping back to the old series. I want some first trained New jedi, trying to keep themselves to the jedicode while they set on some mission, and developing their opinions along the way and make their own path.

I see your point. It would almost be like the saga just goes round in circles.

The jedi are hiding, the sith are hiding, the sith are hiding again etc.

There would be pockets of resistance naturally, and the new order would want to get rid of that, but they would have to write it in such a way that the Republic doesn't look like the Empire and if it carries on with the Jedi order trying to eradicate the sith it will be like the last trilogy without the Sith winning.

I still think Yuuzhan Vong would be the rest to make a new trilogy about. Plus it fits into the gritty reboot binge Hollywood is on.

I really like the stories leading up to episode 1, but unfortunately those aren't getting covered. Which makes me sad.

Like the book Darth Plagueis. Really good book, would make a good movie.

I definitely wanna see some kids there. In fact, I'm sure the new movies will have kids in it because under Disney, they'll wanna target child audiences.

Which is why, I think, they'll get cameos from the original saga in order to target the original fans.

Therefore, my money is on the new movies following that storyline

But how is "Luke as a 5 year old" or "Leia as an 8 year old" or "Han as a 10 year old" going to add to the story? I mean...it could be done, but I think it'd just detract from the story.

Also Star Wars is not a story for Children. Don't make it for Children.

I think even Disney knows that.

Nonononono.

Leia's kid, Luke's kid, stuff like that.

But look at all those Star Wars toys. Lucas made a shit ton of money with them. He's made more money with Star Wars toys and merchandise than with the movie.

Don't you think Disney is gonna add Star Wars to Disney World?

Hopefully they won't make them 5 years old kids, but maybe 13 years old would be ok. Have a young talented actor playing the role, but learn from Phantom Menace.

Or, have them be 16, and see them mature into adults throughout the new trilogy. That sounds better.

kids don't like films with kids, kids like films with badass yet emotionally immature adults.

Oh, oh, ok...

That might be cool. But more so, from the perspective of those kids as grownups.

There's a few Star Wars rides in Disney World, Florida already.

This is just...so wrong.

Watch the original trilogy. How many children were there? Especially in the best two (IV and V), there was nothing remotely childish, and kids still ate it up. Children don't need children to relate to the story.

Everything you listed is essentially what is so terribly wrong with the prequels, or at least episode I.

Right, because there were kids in the The Avengers, right?

I can't believe people still don't get this: The Disney buyout of LucasFilm is the same thing as Marvel. The only difference is that Disney is pushing LucasFilm to make Star Wars movies, that's it.

Did you know that Disney owns some porn production companies? I haven't seen any of them, but odds are you're not going to see children or mice in any of them.

Don't worry, Disney has, up until this point, shown that they are wise in their acquisition of existing properties by keeping themselves at an arm's length. All they want is to profit from the success of the companies, not take them over. Which is why I can't help but roll my eyes and face-palm when people talk about Disney characters as Jedi and other such nonsense.

I want the kids of Luke and Leia, but I'd rather have them be older, 15 or 16. That sort of age. I said kids in a very broad term.

How would they get tiny sabers? I thought they had to take a crystal to some sort of planet to make light sabers. How are little kids able to do it? Isn't major training required?
