Hi

So, Iwas just wondering, does anybody who owns a VOX VT40+ Have and good metal settings?

At the moment, I'mm using Clean amp, distortion channel and metal distortion.

It isn't as satisfying as A Roland, and I was just wondering if anybody had any settings they'd like to share.

Thanks

Caolan

Go to Vox website and check out the toneroom. Big help. Whose sound are you going for?

Ibanez RG421 (Eb)

Vox Valvetronix VT40

i'm not that much into VOX amps, but a friend of mine plays the AC-40. He put a MT-2 (BOSS) straight before the amp. There was no chance to get a heavy powerful sound of that VOX without additional distortion pedals.
As I said, i'm not that much into VOX so I don't know if it's the same problem with the VT40+

Also check out the lower 3 Amps on the right side. Those are the higher gain ones. I got a noir bad chugga out of one of them with my stock guitar pickups.

The AC30 on the red setting was the only usable distorted tone I could get out of my VT40+ when I had it.
