Hi guys,

I've got a speaker cab which can switch between 8 ohms and 16. I also have a head that can switch between 4,8 and 16. How do I match them?

Is it just simply setting both to 8?

Only need to match them. Set both to 8 or both to 16?

what speaker cab is it? one of those settings is probably the stereo setting, i.e. you'd only be running through one speaker. Assuming you want to use both speakers, you want the mono setting.

(it could be either way round depending on what cab it is, depending on whether the speakers are wired in series or parallel- probably will be parallel, but not necessarily.)

I saw in a couple of pictures that on Bucketheads Les Paul (only some pictures) that his neck pickup is painted in white. Can anyone explain to me why he would do this, and if there are any pros and cons.

The guy wears a KFC Bucket and a white mask during performances, and you're interested in the color of his pickup covers?

Thanks for the help guys. It was 8 ohms for stereo and 16 for mono, so I used mono.
