Metallica could have been arguably the greatest band ever if they all died in crash

#1
Just think about that. Kill Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets. Masterpieces of metal. Just think how cool it would have been if it wasn't just Cliff that died, but Kirk, Lars, and James died with him. Don't take this the wrong way though, but it would have been cool if they all did, then they could have been the greatest band ever possibly.

Do you think they could have also if they all died?

they wouldn't be anything close to the best band ever but they would be a lot better

They would be above and beyond Dimebag, Lyrnyrd Skynyrd and Nirvana. When an artist dies they're suddenly the greatest thing. Music fans are idiots.

This is the best idea I have ever heard. Ever.

And you wonder why your threads keep getting closed.
Not that I really listen to Metallica to begin with though.

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

That'd be pretty cool. How can you take that the wrong way?

you would be arguably better if you died in a plane crash.

We should definitely have him try it out to see if it works.

It'd make no difference to me, i don't listen to them.. but i'm sure the band would object to this idea haha

that and if they had made great music. Then yeah I agree.

mayslash > edmodo in terms of being the best TS

I have a question for you guys out there.

Would JOY DIVISION have been as critically acclaimed as they are now if Ian Curtis hadn't of hung himself?

What an idiotic question. Really.

I'll answer the Joy Division question; Joy Division were such an influential band, with Curtis being really electrifying on stage with his presence, the fits and the following they had. And with the impressive body of work they had they never had time to ruin it and their music is immortalised.

Would they be regarded in such high regard now? No. But it doesn't matter, that's what they were and that's why they're regarded so highly.

Without Ian Curtis Joy Division were New Order, who ended up releasing some very good stuff, followed hy some very poor stuff.

Personally, if someone writes something genius and then they go on to write mediocre stuff it doesn't bother me. I love the mid 60's to mid 70s stones, 90's Pumpkins. I would much rather be able to see Billy Corgan play Hummer and Muzzle along with some meh songs like I did last year than yearn to see him play and wonder after someone has died.

Oh God, could you imagine Kirk died instead?
"HAMMETT WAS BEST GUITAR EVER SO MUCH EMOTIONZ!"
"NO ONE WAS SO GOOD WITH WAH PEDAL AND PENTATONICS!"

No TS. I don't think I could cope with that.
On playing the Paul Gilbert signature at the guitar store extensively, my missus sighed:
"Put it down now, It's like you love that guitar more than me!"
In Which I replied.
"Well it has got two F-Holes!"
