I'll stick with Ableton then.

Edit: On second thought, is there one that's known as the "easiest" to use. Because I'm so new to this I think that would be the best one for me to try. I mean, I don't even fully understand FL studio other than how to make loops.

if you own Ableton then go with that if not ....
maybe start with Reaper.
the community is strong
the software 100% updated and working the best it can be.

"that" type of software is not what you should use to learn on in any way. (explore curiosity maybe ?)
but when you have no understanding of the software or workflow the last thing you need added to those issues is it being an cracked and adding more bugs,. it will make your whole learning process 10 times harder when your not sure what the issues you find come from.

if you own the software you can openly ask questions of official site's and get support from Official experts. Reaper is by far the cheapest to get this type of support, this is true for ALL software, I come from a CAD design & 3D Animation background & it's the same over there..

PS- "Christian" openly using stolen software isn't there some book somewhere that talk's about that ??? BUT worried about being banned from UG ??

Well I think my Ableton actually has some sound sample issues. I can't know for sure though because well... as you said. I suppose I'll try out Reaper.

I think that piracy is different from stealing however I can't say I haven't thought about it. It's a topic for another day, thanks for having my back though.

We buy all our software here. Pretty much all the regs have paid for all of their equipment, software and plug ins.

My 8i6 came in the mail today. The guy forgot to put the freakin' usb cable in the box. Does anyone know what these are called? Are they common? Can I find one just at a guitar center? Please answer before I start breaking things.

They're pretty standard usb cables but honestly I have no idea what they're called.

Just go to a computer store and get a USB 2.0 cable that fits the back.

There are several standard sizes. Bring the device with you to make sure it will fit.

Knowing what they are called would be super helpful. I don't even know what to search in google.

Apparently it's a USB type A to USB type B cable.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Yup. Most interfaces now have combined inputs.
