Seriously. Just trying to get a handle on where we are at with things. Do we need some volunteers to review articles?

I think it is also time to potentially start linking outside content like drtube, amparchives, guitaramplifierblueprintig, my bias blog, etc

Thoughts?

I'm wondering if the software used here has the capability (and given the tab library I'm thinking yes) to host a Knowledgebase database / FAQ system?

To be sure we're not there yet, but I think that the next logical step after the content is in place.

Thoughts?

you might need to get permission from the site you're linking to

i have a load of titles for things i think might make good threads, but needless to say i've got no further than the title

I didn't think you had to get permission to link a link. Since when you do you have to get an OK to post a URL? I would think they would appreciate the traffic. Now if I falsely stated something as a fact that was not correct and cited a particular web site as the source - I could see them getting wadded up.

Not sure but thanks for bringing it up.

A knowledge database/FAQ is kind of what I had in mind as an ultimate goal but I'm not sure how UG would feel about that. I bet Phil Starr knows more about this.

yeah i'm not sure either now you mention it I have a vague recollection of reading information websites where they said not to do stuff without asking for permission, but that might have been copying and pasting, not linking.

I dunno.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check.

Only on UG would I say I got engaged and bought a jet city and get congratulated on the amp

Can I get some votes for GABarrie's 'Set Up' thread?

I'd say its a no brainer

It should hopefully get a little more stuff and a reformat soon too now I've got my internet back!

Hey in regard to uploading and copyright, uploading a song from a cd I understand, but what about playing short sections of a song to show how an amp/speaker/pedal etc. sounds, is that allowed? I don't want to get banned. Thank you!

Edit: Scratch that, I saw the "Cover" option.

Do we want a new one? Dan's is a bit...unofficial

The EG one is exceptionally clean, we could have a similar sticky here if there were demand for it.

So, would it be alright if I made two years worth of NGD threads in one thread?

As long as you follow the NGD requirements I don't see why not. (Pics, Clips and/or a decent review. )

Neat. I have a lot of amplifier gut shots to show off.
