the mustang is a modeller, so yes, it is a digital amp. the bassman is an all-tube amp, and is analog. examples of solid-state amps that are analog are the roland jazz chorus, and the peavey bandit. they're not tube, but this doesn't mean they're digital. they are still analog. we're not dealing with processors, we're dealing with op-amps and transistors. still analog. remember: continuous values, not discrete ones.

Some digital delays sound great.
Some digital delays designed to emulate analog can be wonderful.
True Analog delays have a tone all their own.
Buy them all. Investigate. Form an opinion.

opinion doesn't come into it. we're dealing with facts. an example of a digital delay is the boss dd-3. an example of a digital pedal emulating an analog delay is the strymon brigadier. an example of an analog delay is the EHX deluxe memory man. an example of a tube-driven analog delay is the fuchs plush replay. and by the way, the only tube in that thing is used in the input gain stage of the delay. so you'd get the same effect running a tube-driven boost pedal into an analog delay.
