i dont know why it does this but its very annoying. it makes my amp useless.
it does this after its been warmed up pretty good. it cuts the sound as it flickers. it also does this in standby mode. i bought it over a year or so ago. should i try to send it to mesa so they can fix it? or can i fix this myself somehow?

Do not touch except to take it in for repair. Don't void your warranty.

Aside from that problem how do you like?

See, it's important that people clarify when they say "metal", because I pretty much always assume they are a Cannibal Corpse fanboi.

Its pretty good, i play find all the channels very useful. I put a tungsol in v1 and mullard power tubes. I went back to mesa tubes to see if it still flickers and it does. Havnt tried the preamp back to mesa though, in v1. The tungsol and mullards really clean up the fuzziness and brightens it up, makes it pretty clear. I wish i could play in 25w modern, but even on the lowest volume its freking loud as can be. Sometimes i play vintage because 10w moden is loud. I find gain maxed in the pushed channel gives a really heavy, very clean, very ballsy punch you in the chest sound that works great at low volumes, but lacks high gain.

Put all the stock Mesa tubes in and try again.

Also, before you send it in for repairs, make sure all the tubes are stock Mesa.

EDIT:

I just realised that the flickering light reminds me of how electronics in my room will react when I draw too much current for too many things (i.e. amps, computer, TV etc etc).

Have you checked if the problem persists if you use another outlet?

It is not too much power draw. I have tried other outlets.

Well I guess it's back to sending the amp to a tech then.
