The idea of the song is to feel a sort of desperate cry of help.
It's a rough recording, so far I'm messing around with vocal techniques.

I feel like it makes the whole vocal track sound a bit too rough still, and can overwhelm when it's throughout. I'd say use it in moderation, your clean voice is certainly a lot more appealing than it's filtered counterpart.

Did you use an actual lo-fi mic or just a filter? Everything sounds good but the vocals seem like it has a fake(?) lo-fi sound to it.
