Just a couple quick questions for you guys. I've been under the impression that the bridge pup in the RG1570 I picked up secondhand was a DiMarzio Crunch Lab but the more and more I look, the more I notice that the blue crunch labs don't have chrome bars/studs. They all have the black finished pole pieces. I know I could take the strings off and remove the pickup to check the bottom, but does anyone know if this is another single rail that DiMarzio offers (like the D Sonic or something)? Here's a picture so you know what I mean. Regardless, it sounds excellent and if it isn't a CL, I'm just as happy with it. I'm just more curious than anything

Also, just another question. I'm going to be getting a matching blue Liquifire in the neck position, but heard they sit pretty high in direct mount guitars like the RG1570. Does anyone know of anyone here who's had to route the cavity a little to get one in there? Also, is the Liquifire orientation dependent like the CL is (in a sense that facing the rails/poles in a certain way changes the tonality)?

Thanks guys!

I saw in a couple of pictures that on Bucketheads Les Paul (only some pictures) that his neck pickup is painted in white. Can anyone explain to me why he would do this, and if there are any pros and cons.

The guy wears a KFC Bucket and a white mask during performances, and you're interested in the color of his pickup covers?

No, yeah I know it's under it, I was just curious if anyone could identify it without me having to take it out. Also, the black one's have chrome bars and poles but all the colored Crunch Labs have black bars and poles so I was just thrown off.

I think the ultimate question is whether you think it sounds good as a pickup regardless what model it is or not. The LF is going to pair up with both of them beautifully, but there is some tonal differences between the two, enough to make you maybe not like the other if you are completely satisfied with the way it is now.

Food for thought.

No yeah, regardless it sounds excellent and I don't really care if it's not a CL, but I was more curious than anything. Honestly, if it isn't, I might just buy whatever it is from now on because I'm really digging the tone

Does your guitar have a wizard 2 neck?
If so, I'm in love with your guitar.

It's a 2007 RG1570 so it's a Wizard Prestige. It's a little thinner than the Wizard II (18mm at the first fret and 20mm at 12th whereas the Wizard II is 19mm and 21mm respectively). My S Prestige has a Wizard II Prestige and I like the 1570's Wizard Prestige better. But thanks dude, I love it too
