I want the chick to swoon damit! Need songs to learn. Help a brotha out!

To give you an idea of what I'm looking for,
-"Angelina" by Tommy Emmanuel is probably the best one I could come up with.
-I'm also learning a guitar rendition of "River Flows in You".

You could probably get her to think you are cute and lovable, if you make up a clever little song about her, and why you like her... it doesn't have to be anything fancy... just some silly little thing.

love this kids vocal abilities. listen to his live version of Adele's someone like you. great range. kid just needs a better guitar and a different mic.
Yes indeed, really nice job with the song as a whole. But, the high frequency whine running through the recording and lack of bass in the EQ, is disturbing to say the least.

I don't know about better guitar, that dread has to have a way better bottom end than what is represented in the mix, even if it cost fifty bucks.

Faux pas @ about 3:05, wrong chord attempted and corrected. I'm not criticizing, I'm notorious for that sort of screw up myself....

I have a decent singing voice but small range. I'd prefer instrumental but those are some great selections.

That's great, so why not just talk your way into her pants on style points, and forget the props?

OTOH, if you're interested, Led Zeppelin's, "Thank You" has less than an octave of range and tops out at the D above middle C. Not high enough? Use a capo. (And take along a 12 string, (in tune sil vous plait).

Women are sort of like wild animals, they can smell fear and desperation. Don't show them any. They also seem to be able to smell money. Better take some of that along too.

Well, that's not really the point. I thought she was to fall in love with the person singing the song.

If you're not careful the whole thing could turn into the plot to "A Midsummer Night's Dream"....

How about Sonny & Cher's, "I got you Babe". Make her sing Cher's part. That way both of you will come off a corny, but neither one has to accept the blame.....

try learning any beginners level piece of classical guitar music using score not tablature and learn to play it perfectly. A slow and beautiful unknown classical piece of music will impress anyone and you will easily be able to cover mistakes as she probably wont know the song!

Pavane for a Dead Princess by Maurice Ravel. There are technically simple and complex arrangements around. Pick one that works for you and just play the first or last section of the piece. And don't mention the "dead" part of the title, heh.

Or try this: play an arpeggiated minor 7th chord followed by a few melodic tones in a related key, then strum a different minor 7th chord and continue the cycle. Repeat for 90 seconds. Then say, "I just wrote that. It's called [insert girl's name]."

Make a song about her with funny/"cute" lyrics, just play with Dmaj7, A, Bm, Gadd9, A, etc etc
They love songs, but its way better when its a song they never heard before.

Romeo and Juliet ( Dire Straits) definite pants remover. Might take a bit of practice though. Cheers

Some gooey romantic songs for acoustic guitar:

IF - Bread
Diary - Bread
Don't Think Twice It's Alright - tons of people - more of a "leaving" song, but chicks love it
If Tomorrow Never Comes - Garth Brooks

I just learned a new fingestyle song: I Can't Help Falling In Love With You. The Elvis song. Easy stuff, same fingerstyle pattern as the Animals "House of the Rising Sun" (different chords though). Easy to sing too.

Would be "new" to a girl under 30 years old, probably.
