Title pretty much says it all

Wether it was from scratch or kit. I'm wondering because a member of the prodigy uploaded a picture to facebook of a boutique synth made for him & I want to build one myself

This doesn't look so complicated if you had a schematic and I guess a way to get the chips. I don't know too much about it or making synths though.

Well unless you have the means to obtain the microchips and make a digital synth, go online and look up an analogue synth and see how big they are with how many dials

If you want to see what's possible with the average set of knobs and bits, go google "homemade moog" as that's a popular project.

Well the synth I linked too is an open source project.
You can purchase the board and do whatever you want with it.

Most likely someone will have the info on the site to make it a synth.

Have a look on instructables.com and search for synth projects there are a few projects on their and you might find one that has step-by-step instructions on how to make your own.
