So I knew about guitars like the wolfgang, but I didn't realize Peavey made these dirt-cheap guitars like the Reactor in the USA. Has anyone played one? Can you comment on the build quality, pickups, etc?

I've been looking for a nice "telecaster sound" guitar and these MIA Peaveys are dirt cheap. I mean, they're cheaper than the upper-end Squier guitars, and people are going around saying they're better than MIM Fender. Trying to figure out if that's just honeymoon period review talk.

They're so cheap I might have to pull the trigger on one. They seem unreal for the price.

Peavey’s guitar design and marketing just isn’t sophisticated or original enough to hack it in the highly competitive guitar world. But the instruments are great for the money and often sell dirt cheap used.

I love my '94 USA Predator. They're definitely cheap enough to take a chance on.

Unfortunately; I don't think Peavey's gonna be around for another 20 yrs... But I got a Raptor Plus Exp. in Black with some designs on the pickguard- pretty sweet... But I would like to try a Peavey USA; they gotta be quality if they're produced IN the U S of A...

Well, that's my assumption anyway (that they're good). I think it's pretty amazing that MiA guitars are selling for around $200. They seem to be considered decent player guitars and mod platforms. I'll probably end up getting one just out of curiosity, to see if it's any good. I can always flip it if I'm not satisfied.

Highly doubt they won't. They make pots of money.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

true... cheap guitar, great quality... I think they're sponsored / run by Fender or some other big name... their guitars are too good to be made by a speaker company...
