Hey everyone. I'm looking for an acoustic guitar with easy access to to many frets past the 12th fret for soloing, much like an electric guitar. Do they make them? Can anyone recommend some models?

They make Acoustic guitars with cutaways. BUT, the neck joins the body at not more than the 14th fret, and the body depth makes upper fret access more difficult than with a true electric.

So, the answer is, there are acoustics with better upper fret access, but it still depends on your expectations whether or not it's adequate.

Honestly, as long as there's a cutaway, I never have a problem getting to the 20th fret. Ovations are made with necks very similar to an electric, but with one little problem...they seems to usually be V necks, which aren't exactly that pleasant to most people.
