QdT is 4:20, that is just as long as Love is and almost as long as Satan Is a Lawyer.

Satan Is a Lawyer is the best song with a stupid name by the way.

I think the new album is great...although I understand a lot of people's problem with it.
It does feel samey in some parts, but none of the songs were actually bad. The title track is still one of the strongest songs they've ever released in my opinion.

Whoops, you're right. But anyway it's still the best album.

I used to dislike The Link because I thought it sounded too raw, but I got a remastered edition and it's pretty damn great. Can't get enough of that boingy breakdown part in Remembrance.
I can't wait till my fro is full grown.

Hmm judging from your pic you'd fit in more with a fat busted tribute.

I agree, well written. Although that Gojira guitar tone is almost neutered out of existence on this album.

I pretty much have to agree with this, I think it's a good album but it really doesn't stand out from the rest of their albums.

There are a couple tracks that are really good, only one that confuses me is "the Wild Healer." It could work a little better if it 'flowed' into the next song but it just comes to an abrupt end and then goes to the next track. Thought that was kind of weird

Don't belittle it like that, your mom produces top quality stuff.

I find that the more you listen to The Elephant Sausage the more stands out. I had the same problem when I first started engaging myself in the album. I agree that Gift of Guilt is an awesome track with some huge riffs. You can pick up an honest copy on Itunes right now from the Roadrunner Canada sale. Hit it here:

I love the new album, but i think classics like from mars to sirius are much heavier.

They are, but this album wasn't about "heavy". They felt like experimenting a little, without venturing too far from their sound. Now, Gojira's never been a very technical band, but I do find this new album to be slightly more technical than "From Mars To Sirius". Imho, that's a good thing.

Could have been worse, but I feel like it was all right. It was certainly not From Mars to Sirius, but it wasn't so bad that I wanted to turn it off.

I was disappointed a lot by music and movies in 2012 so I hope from now on we get to hear and see better quality entertainment.

2012 music was awesome, Gojira just wasn't helping with it.

+1 and there are some really good songs on it, the title track, Explosia, The Gift Of Guilt, Mouth Of Kala. BUT It lacks the powerful and I guess, big sound of FMTS and doesn't capture me like their previous releases. Its still a good album in its own right but they can do better.

Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier was interviewed by Mike James when the group played Exeter on their most recent UK tour in support of their latest album, L'Enfant Sauvage. Watch the whole conversation above.

Also, another awesomely insightful interview with Joe. This one has some really good questions.

I do hope they change their style for the next album. They really can't do much with the style they are doing now. Would be really interesting to see them move into more melodic waters (not soft, defiantly not melo-death). The problem is that they have a heavily recognizable sound, hell the harmonic slide thing they use has been called "Whale Slide" lol.
Really hope they break out of the mold for the next album. They can make very very very atmospheric songs, they could go into a more doom-y sound.
