Sounds about right. He seems content with failure and borderline mediocrity when it comes to sports.

Pft. Whatever. They've been fairly successful over the past 10 years. One SB appearance, and several playoff appearances.

Plus they're getting better. That defense is starting to look scary.

Saw that on Twitter earlier. Pretty awesome! I hope he'll have a new album out by next year sometime.

Holy triple post, Batman!

I really like the new song. I'm pretty stoked for this album. I don't want to wait for another month.

Probably the most spread out triple post ever. That first one is almost a year old.

I just pre-ordered the deluxe edition CD. This is probably my most anticipated album of the year.

So, I couldn't wait the 7-10 business days it would take the album to get to me, so I caved and listened to the whole thing. After one listen, I enjoy quite a bit, though I think it starts to drag toward the end. Recovery, The Way I Tend to Be, Plain Sailing Weather, and Polaroid Picture are the stand-outs for me so far.

I really want to listen to it, but I'm going to be patient and wait for the vinyl to arrive.

Well, my pre-order came in today! Sooner than I expected.

As for the album, it's grown on me quite a bit. There's a couple songs that I'm still not too into, but overall it's really good. Not quite as good as England Keep My Bones though.

That's how I feel too, for now. It took me a bit to really get into England Keep My Bones, and now I love it. I feel like this might end up being the same.

Anyway, here it is. It came today.

Came with a CD booklet signed by Frank.

Few songs I haven't really been able to get into and I don't like the way he did the full band stuff. Best songs weren't on the "main" album (dude still cant pick a tracklist to save his life, that's two albums in a row now). Still though, can't go wrong with Frank.

I also want your vinyl.

Eh, that's where I'd disagree I think. "We Shall Not Overcome" and "Cowboy Chords" could probably replace "Tell Tale Signs" and "Four Simple Words," but overall I think the primary tracklist is pretty solid.

"Polaroid Picture" and "Oh Brother" have been in my head all week.

Wherefore Art Thou Gene Simmons, Tattoos & Undeveloped Film are some of the best songs of this batch as far as I'm concerned. Just like Balthazar was the best of the EKMB bunch.

TDH is hit or miss for me, but i enjoy it more with every listen. and ya frank's ability to pick a tracklist is questionable at best.

So I'm going to be officially making my inquiry into Frank Turner, as he is on tour with Lucero right now, and that makes him A-OK in my book.

I have never listened to him, what would be a good album to start with?

(I will probably post this same question in the other thread too, but I figured I might as well start right here.)

"Love Ire & Song" is the album I got started with, so I think that would be a good jumping off point.

Just saw Frank tonight. First stop on his current US tour (which I think is fairly short). I finally picked up a copy of Poetry of the Deed on vinyl while at the show.

I just need Sleep Is for the Week, and I'll have all of his full length albums on vinyl.
