Anyone else a fan? I think they're a great band, but I never hear anyone talk about them!

Here's some of my favorite Macabre songs if you aren't familiar with them;

I've heard the entirety of Murder Metal. This band is just too silly for me. Their song Hitchhiker was pretty good though. But yeah, they don't take themselves seriously enough for my tastes.
Matthew 5:5 - "Blessed are the meek: for they shall Beherit the earth."

They are one of the few bands with lyrics about serial killers that I can tolerate. First, because they write about real life killers, making it more interesting. Second, because it's kind of tongue in cheek instead of taking itself so damn seriously.

First of all, as a disclaimer: if you don't like tongue in cheek lyrics about serial killers and quirky death metal tracks with thrash/grindcore influence, then don't bother with this.

I saw them live headlining for a relatively small show that my friend's band was opening in first slot for. The sound was shit unfortunately, but I did get a taste of their quirky "murder metal". I know what you're thinking though - "murder metal" is just another stupid gimmicky name. But I assure you this band is well worth it. I decided to get their discog and I was far more impressed than I was seeing them live (I could actually hear the riffs).

I know two of the vids the TS posted are removed (Though Hitchhiker is badass), so I thought I'd show some favourites of my own:

Off 2003's Murder Metal, "Jack the Ripper": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrNPy0U2Q4U

Off 1993's Sinister Slaughter, "Nightstalker": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8mRQsemQpQ

Off 1989's Gloom, "Funeral Home" (showcasing the more ****ed up side of Macabre, which is seen on all of their albums): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQNJLGyJlGI

I go back and forth on these guys (some songs are great, some are really annoying, mostly on account of the vocals), but I give them props for having a unique sound, and approaching a fairly generic lyrical concept (serial killers) in a refreshing way. And I guess the vocals wouldn't be that off-putting to a lot of grindcore fans.

Personal favorites:

"Unabomber" off the Unabomber EP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtELxbw3sGA

"Dog Guts" off Dahmer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fB_4w7LEZc

Dog Guts is definitely a favourite. Drumming is mental on that track.

Merry Christmas!

Dead relatives all around

Why doesn't anyone talk about these guys?

Are you talking about those weird sphincter-spasms where it feels like there's a ghost dick in your ass for a little while and then it just disappears?

Grim Reality is one of my favourite albums in existence. There are quite a few of those however.
