Really good metalcore from Hamilton in Canada. Check them out.

They really remind of Misery Signals and For The Fallen Dreams and a little hint of The Ghost Inside, and Structures. But of course they have their own unique sound.

Get the album Prophets, you will not regret it.

Seen them live a bunch of times. Great band.

EDIT: Their bio is suuuper douchey though
"They bear the startling distinction however [from other Ontario metalcore bands], of virtuosity; being among the genre’s elite. “Prophets” is a veritable masterpiece of metalcore composition."

Metal is a sub-genre of metalcore since metalcore is more popular therefore better.

Yeah and haha that does sound a little bit retarded.

Hey, but I did get the comparisions right?

Basically. I have a hard time separating bands in this vein of metalcore to be honest.

Hopefully they didn't write that themselves. In fact I'm just going to go ahead and believe that they didn't because I like to pretend that none of the people involved in making music I enjoy are that arrogant.

I just don't think I've paid enough attention to the style to be able to hear discernible differences.

New custom user title? I think so.

But ninjas are so damn overplayed. Don't want to look like a loser on the interwebs. After all, it IS serious business.

What really bothers me about all this melodic metalcore and Misery Signals (to a lesser extent) is the tritone open string chug or open string chugs in general. They actually write good heavy riffs rather then a one note chug in a weird rhythm. Good band.
AK-47. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherfucker in the room, accept no substitutes.

Odd, they're 3 hours away from new, and I've never heard of them, let alone seen them live. They're okay I'sppose.

They're good but I'm not into all that chordy type progression, I just think it sounds really messy live. Very few bands I've seen actually pull it off well. I've seen counterparts once but I've never heard of them before that show, the album does sound great though.
My sound.

A friend of ours screwed us over to playing with this band. Fuck.

Oh well, I'm seeing Mother of Mercy on that same date anyways.

Basically they had a choice of playing a show with Baptized in Blood and moving two of the other bands playing the show we were supposed to along with theirs, thus dropping us and another band off the bill for a bigger show I guess you could say. Different openers were added which really pissed me off.
