But really, to everyone again, thank you so much. I can't believe how well it's being received.

Apparently I smell really good.

And EP is how I smell in music form.

Haven't listened yet but I like the cover, where'd it come from? Is it your own photo?

Nah.

I HATE reddit, but ventured on one time and this guy was asking for people to touch it up and color it. I fell in love with the image, including the wear and tear, and asked him if I could use it.

He never responded, so he can eat shit. We're not making profit.

YUS.

I keep thinking of when I could hear a studio version of this.

Thanks Blake.

The noise around 3:00 minutes in All My Heroes Hang From Ceiling Fans is not nice, sack that producer!
Besides that, it's probably my favourite song on the EP, sounds like The Republic Of Wolves meets PBTT.

Never heard of The Republic of Wolves. Check them out?

And that's actually a result of a faulty mic cable that jiggled a bit out of place during the recording. That song was a bitch to record though (it was all done live), and so when he brought it up, I didn't feel like doing the whole thing over again.

I'm sorry, I'm lazy. In my defense, he didn't notice it until a week later, and so it would have been a whole other session trying to get everything to the exact same settings to record again.

Someone in this forum recommended them to me. Apparently a lot of people thought their songs were new material by Brand New while they were waiting on TGAD or something. They're pretty good, listen to Woolen Blankets or Oarsman.

Yeah, I thought it was probably something like that, haha.

In Parting is my favorite pretty easily. It's extremely catchy for the genre.

Thanks. I was really unsure about it because of how sing songy it is, but knowing that someone out there digs it helps haha.

Dude, this is really cool, it reminds me pianos become the teeth a whole bunch.

Blake I like this! I remember watching videos awhile ago and I liked the sounds. I feel like these recordings could use some tightening up in my opinion but I really like the sound.

I also felt some of the transitions could use some work, but honestly that's the hardest part (for me at least) of writing in a band of this genre. You guys have got the tools though, I love your vocals, the guitar parts aren't too obnoxious but are still really exciting, and your drummer seems really cool.
#29
First of all, thanks you for listening. I know it's kind of loose, but personally I dig the sound. The full length will be a lot lot tighter though, I assure you.

About the transitions, I'm pretty sure I rectify that decently enough with the new material. It's not completely different, but it adopts a lot more European influence and 90s screamo as well. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you guys.

I mean, it's subjective really, but I liked it anyway.

EDIT: Also let's go on tour some day.

Listening to the EP again whilst reading an article on the Post-Colonial view on English in Africa.

Forget how good it is, I always seem to.

Ooph, that's downright beautiful.

Look forward to checking it out. Might even sling some cash you guys way if it's supergood.

Really like it, well done!

The recording quality is better, and every song is great. Hopefully you guys will make it to the UK one day.

I think The Potomac probably stands out as the best song to me. Also, when I first glanced at the artwork, I was like "oh cool, more circles with shit in the middle," then I realised what it was. Shit, that looks so sore!

This is really good. But change your name to Saintly Hoes.

Yeah, have you seen the stitches picture? lol it's gnarly as shit.

The Potomac is my personal favorite. I've been working on that one for years, musically and lyrically. It's going on a comp for My Endless Minutes, I'm excited.

Yeah, caught it in the chat thread - at least you'll have a cool scar, haha. I take it you can't play guitar for a while?

That's cool, the work really paid off!
