up here we pretty much exclusively drink tap water. bottled water is generally regarded as silly. i know some of you guys live in places where the tap water is actually pretty shitty, so which do you prefer to drink?

Within Europe tap water has to meet certain standards to be considered fit for human consumption.

The reason that people sometimes get a bit of a belly issue is because different countries apply different additional chemicals to their tap water (fluorides etc), which people from other countries aren't used to having in their systems.

Tap water all the way. I work in the water industry though, so i'm kinda biased.

Tap at home, but bottled in my shitty college dorm with crap plumbing. Well not "bottled" I buy it in the gallon jugs.

I drink bottled water or filtered tap. I refuse to drink straight tap water. It's disgusting.
This ends now, eat the goddamn beans!

Who the hell buys bottled water? There's nothing wrong with tap if you live in a developed western country, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper too.

Tap at home and when I have a bottle to fill up. Bottle when I'm abroad or need a drink when I'm out of the house and have no water with me.

If you prefer bottled water your city is awful and you should move.

Baby water, the variety void of fluoride. Nice for the teeth, but that shit is bad news.

Bottled water is subject to much lesser standards. Tap water should have no indicator bacteria. Bottled water contains shedloads. And one bottle I tested had clostridium perfringens in it.

Exactly this.
My family still drink bottled water whenever they come to visit me in France though, because they don't believe that the tap water is safe here. That's what intense marketing does for you

Tap, definately. For me, and most Dutchmen actually, bottled water is very silly. But we don't mind its existence, it's fabulous income after all.
#22
Filtered tap.
O.K.

Tap. If you're really that worried about your water being shitty, just buy one of those filters you put on the spout. They're expensive but still cheaper than bottled annually.

Tap, where I live it's one of the best quality tap water in the country. When you go to Belgium though... horrible in some places.

Tap at home. I just refill my bottle. If I'm out though and don't have water and need a drink I might consider buying bottled water.
#30
I don't have problem with water straight from the tap, although i won't drink it.
HAS to be filtered first.
Sweet.

I have a well so I drink tap water. When I go somewhere I make sure to have bottled water because I can't stomach the tap water because of the fluoride and chlorine they put in it.
IDK if anyone else has e. coli breakouts where they live but they are always dumping chemicals in the tap water because of it.

Bottled, but I buy big bottled water for about 17p per 2l. It's most likely water from their tap, but my taps give off weird tasting water. Hence, bottled water.

WRONG, tap is cleaned enough so it dosnt make you sick, but it still has DDT"s and all kinds of other crap thats way to expensive and time consuming for local water treatment plants to filter or clean out to meet demands.

Here in America they have places to deposite unwanted pharmaceuticals just so people wont flush them down the toilet, why, because it dos not get taken out of the water supply, and people end up with small amounts of that crap in their bodies.

I drink bottled and filtered tap

Don't those fruit flavoured waters have a ridiculous amount of sugar in them as well?

No, they have sweeteners. They're more "potent" and you only need a small amount to get the same level of sweetness, compared to sugar.

Tap isn't as good as bottled, but it's still okay to drink. It seems silly to pay so much and throw away all that plastic to drink some water because it being on the shelves gives me an idea it's better.
Not sure if a sig is a necessity.
