New forum member alert!

I've been reading these forums for quite some time now and thought it was high time I joined and got involved. I'm based in the UK and have been playing for around 25 years and have been in various bands over that time. Currently though I'm band-less (mostly due to having a young family and having very little free time).

I've got a few electrics and two acoustics (I had a few more until a much needed clear out recently)! The few i have left i don't think I'll ever part with (but that doesn't stop me wanting more!).

My main enemy at the moment is lack of free time!

Anyway - hello everybody and I hope to get to know you all very soon.

Marty.

Wait...what?! FREE BEER!? I never got a free beer. I got a cup of lukewarm coffee that had a distinct aftertaste of yak poo. Who do I turn a complaint in to around here?

Ahem...Welcome, Marty. Look forward to seeing you around.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Hello. A friendly tip is to stay away from The Pit.

Don't listen to this guy, Marty. He's just bitter 'cause The Pit chewed him up and spit him out.
Go to The Pit sometime, the Pitmonkeys don't bite [much]...

Anyway, welcome to UG. Hope you enjoy your stay.

What you need is a new amp. I think a Jet City would work well for you. But jic, we'll need budget, location, used or new, genres you play and your current gear.

Welcome Marty, lotsa helpful advice and solidly based opinions from the folks here. It can be addictive if, like a lot of us here, you have chronic g.a.s. Or like funny cats (I think the cats may be a gg&a thing though).

Ha! Good point. If I spent less time on the Internet and more time playing, I'd be playing like Django now. On a serious note - one of my problems is that I have to keep my guitars in cases as I have a 2 yr old and a 6 yr old. I guess i could wall mount them so they're always available?

On the subject of Paltrow. ...so THAT'S why Chris Martin split from her......she was at home all day messing about with his guitars.!

Yep. And he realised she was making much better music than him.
