Irremovable trojan I need some help!
just grab the top of it, near your balls and roll it up, toward the head. it's just the reverse of the way you put it on in the first place.

Why do a lot of people think rolling back to a previous state of windows will remove the virus, it may remove the main threat but i virus CAN infect other files, what Antivirus are you using? i suggest downloading and installing the trial of Norton 09 or signing up too the HijackThis! website and posting your log.

Oh come on.

Go get Avast, it's free. Then do a boot-time scan. This restarts your computer, but scans your computer before it has fully loaded, preventing the virus to multiply or... whatever.

Run CCleaner, Spybot S&D and AdAware while you're at it.

Avast or avg free.
Download those.

Then run a scan in safe mode.
Should delete the virus.

AVG is pretty good freeware. You would get better answers if you used Google, to be honest.

No.

Actually, yes it is.

TS, use a scanner to find the exact name of the trojan then go on Google and look for answers there. You may end up having to root through registry keys and shit like that.

*Correction*: Macs do not get PC viruses.

Just backup what you need on an external hard drive and do a destructive restore on your computer.

Before you transfer all your data back onto the hard drive (if you dont wanna keep it on the external), run a virus scan on your external drive to make sure its clean.

Dont waste your time on the free AVG software. It's DECENT at best, but you get what you pay for...

Norton and McAfee aren't much better either. Back in the day they were great, but they're not nearly as good anymore. Reason being - when you think "Anti-Virus Software", the first thing people think of is Norton (or McAfee) because they're the biggest names out there. So the majority of people have those. When you get all these new viruses, they're pretty much designed (and I say this loosely) to attack those programs so when they run a scan, they don't detect them.

Trend Micro is a pretty good one. I installed it on my sisters computer (which had Notron - all definitions up to date) and it picked up 72 viruses/trojans that Norton didn't detect.

The best one on the market right now I can recommend is Kaspersky - hands down.

Good luck with your computer, Brother!
